New signings at Penicuik

Ambitious Scotttish band add to the ranks.

Penicuik

Penicuick Silver Band has announced a new signing in the shape of Lorraine Quinn.

Having previously played for St David's Band in Midlothian, Lorraine comes in to strengthen the front row after a spell away from banding to concentrate on obtaining her degree.

Delighted

MD Stuart Black told 4BR: "I'm delighted Lorraine has agreed to sign for us. She has been coming along recently to get her lip back in and told me she wanted to get back into competitive banding, so needless to say I didn't hesitate in asking her to join."

The new duo will make their debuts at the Scottish Championship on the 10th March where the band hopes to improve on last year’s 6th place4BR

Bass trom addition

The band also welcomes on Ross Walker on bass trombone.

Stuart added: "Ross is a great signing. His experience will be a huge attribute having played with various types of ensemble. He also teaches some of the members of the band and is willing to work as much as he can to enhance their ability."

The new duo will make their debuts at the Scottish Championship on the 10th March where the band hopes to improve on last year’s 6th place.
