New Wood as Westwood Goes!

John Wood takes over the reins at Poulton as Gareth Westwood ends succesful tenure.

The Poulton-le-Fylde Band has welcomed John Wood as its new Musical Director, following the departure of former MD, Gareth Westwood after a successful three year tenure at the helm of the North West band.

Successful

John joins after enjoying his own successful tenure with Lostock Memorial Band and a playing career with the likes of Desford and Flowers.

Also an accomplished pianist and basson player John's first concert was at Blackpool's historic Grand Theatre over the Christmas period where Poultoin played to over 1000 people at its annual Christmas Concert.

The band also took the opportunity to thank Gareth Westwood.
