After 21 years of rehearsing all the Smithills brass, wind and jazz bands in the same, large rehearsal room in the school, MD Chris Wormald has informed 4BR that the school bands, orchestras and choirs will benefit from a new state of the art rehearsal room.

Building work began on the bandroom, recording studio and practice rooms in early December and plans are in place for the move into the new facility in the centre of the school campus during February half term, well before the Senior Brass Band embarks on its Summer concert tour to America.
