4BR has been informed that entries are now invited for the Gloucestershire Brass Band Association Entertainment Contest which will be held on Sunday 5th February at The Larruperz Centre, Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire.

New home

A spokesperson told 4BR: "Due to rising theatre hire costs the contest will be moving across the county border into Herefordshire for the first time, and if successful the Larruperz Centre will become the new home for all GBBA Contests in the future."

The venue is only five minutes drive from the M50 motorway and will hopefully be easier for all bands to access.

the contest will be moving across the county border into Herefordshire for the first time, and if successful the Larruperz Centre will become the new home for all GBBA Contests in the futurespokesperson

Format

The contest will be run, as in previous years, in two sections: Section A, an open section for all nationally graded bands and Section B, for Youth, Training and Un-registered Bands.

The adjudicator for the day will be Philip Harper.
