A group of talented young musicians called 'Perfect Fourth' are hitting just the right notes to help local charities.
The quartet, conducted by Matt Whitfield, are based at Salford University and made their debut recently in helping to raise funds for Dr. Kershaw's Hospice in the beautiful setting of Oldham Parish Church.

Gemma McKee, a cornet player from Northern Ireland told 4BR: "We were delighted to make our debuts for such a great cause. We were excited and a bit nervous, but we had a great reception, especially for our performance of a new work by Jonathan Bates called 'Festive Echoes'."
The other members of the group, Rebecca Childs, Adam Parr and Rebekah Denny performed a number of other works to a delighted audience.
