The 'full house' signs were up in force in Bolton last weekend, when Smithills School Senior Band and the school’s Music Department, led by MD Chris Wormald, sold out the town's 1,270 seat Victoria Hall for a concert in aid of Bolton Hospice and Smithills band funds.

Described as 'superb, brilliant, the best night ever' by Bolton Hospice Vice-Chairman Gerry Russell, the musical theme of 'Sinatra, Bublé & The Movies' attracted a capacity audience for the third time in as many years, with the MD having to issue a rather unique plea of asking potential last minute listeners not to turn up to the event!
