Wessex set for winter contest

There is a fine line up of bands battling it out for the Wessex title in Dorset this weekend.

The Wessex Brass Band Association will be holding its Winter Contest at the Pavilion Threatre in Weymouth, Dorset this Saturday.

Each band will enter under its recognised National grading and play an own choice test piece to try and impress adjudicator Dave Barringer.

The action starts at 10.00am and before the announcement of the results, a short concert will be provided by Yeovil Entertainment champion, Woodfalls.
