The Yorkshire Imperial David Urquart Travel Band has been given a welcome early Christmas present with the news that they are to sign a new for their new bandroom in Gawthorpe, Wakefield.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "The band have been practicing at the bandroom for a number of months and are delighted to be able to call it their own."

They added: "Previously, rehearsals were held in Methley, so the band are currently in the process of moving their library and redecorating the room with fantastic memorabilia from their famous and exciting history."

It was also revealed that in addition to the new bandroom, there are a number of new signings which will be announced very shortly in conjunction with a new website.
