Young players remember sacrifice

The young players of Test Valley Youth Band played their part in Remembrance Sunday.

Test Valley

The young players of Test Valley Brass certainly remembered those that ‘gave their today for our tomorrow’ by performing the Last Post and Reveille in no less than five remembrance services on the weekend.

Joe Howell, Katherine Sharp and Guy Niblet took part in the services with the Test Valley Youth Band, which were attended by hundreds of members of the public.

Proud

Peter Heslop, Chairman of Test Valley Brass told 4BR: "I’m extremely proud of all our members or the dedication and commitment they have shown. To be able to take part in such a special and important event and in no less than five locations is quite remarkable."

Huge contribution

David Hodgson, of St Mary’s Church in Overton added: "The Test Valley Brass Youth Band made a huge contribution to our service today. Many people have expressed their appreciation for their efforts, and the music was very good indeed. Also the behaviour of all the band members was exemplary. This says much for their devotion and dedication."
