Katrina Marzella has just returned from Norway after being invited to adjudicate at the SIDDIS entertainment contest held in Stavanger.

Enjoyed

The baritone star shared the adjudication duties in the Fourth Section with composer Simon Dobson, and the pairing certainly enjoyed the experience with a wide variety of music and plenty of innovation on show.

"It was a hugely entertaining," she told 4BR. "We really enjoyed listening to the eight competing bands and were thoroughly impressed with the standard. The top few bands really blew our socks off!"

I had a fantastic time watching the Elite Division bands in the main concert hall with old and new friends from the adjudicators’ panel. It was very inspirational music making!Katrina Marzella

Fantastic

Katrina also had the opportunity to sit back and listen to what the very best Norwegian bands had to offer in the entertainment stakes.

She added: "I had a fantastic time watching the Elite Division bands in the main concert hall with old and new friends from the adjudicators’ panel. It was very inspirational music making!

All in all thanks to the wonderful hospitality shown to me, it was a great day, finished off by a lovely reception in the evening hosted by the SIDDIS committee and Stavanger Band."
