Conductor Jonathan Corry will head to Switzerland at the end of the year to work with performers at the annual band camp for the Christian Music Association of Switzerland.

The Irish bandmaster of Enfield Citadel Band will be conducting the A band on the camp.

Jonathan told 4BR: "I'm really thrilled to be leading a Christian band camp in such an idyllic location. I just hope the band can understand my Ulster twang!!"

Basel

Founded in 1907, The Christian Music Association of Switzerland gathers 70 members each year to rehearse and perform two concerts, one in the eastern part of Switzerland and one in the west.

The camp takes place in Rickenbach, near Basel, where a large house is used to rehearse and work on the various pieces in sectionals and full tutti rehearsals.

Jonathan will be joined by professional tuba player and local brass band conductor Daniel Jenzer who will lead the B band.
