In the West, members and supporters of Coleshill Town Band are preparing to ditch their razors by growing their facial hair for a month.

Whiskers
During November each year, the Movember Charity asks men to grow moustaches to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer.
So on Movember 1st, the male players and supporters will be register to grow the best whiskers in the banding business.
NOBBBS out
Meanwhile, up in Scotland the NOBBBS will be out as the National Old Boys Brass Band of Scotland, made up exclusively of males all over the age of 40, will be providing their third annual fund raising concert for the charity.
Conducted by Phillip McCann the event takes place on 12th November at St Ninian’s Parish Church, Glenrothes, where Phillip will be joined by a host of star players and soloists as they once again show off their musical manhood for a great cause.
