World Rankings: October update

Brighouse and Rastrick move up to third place following its second successive National title

However, Cory Band is guaranteed to finish the year on top of the World of Brass – 4barsrest.com Rankings for the fifth successive year.

Following yet another third place at the National Championships, the sixth time in the past nine years that the Welsh band has taken that exact placing at the event! Cory’s remarkable consistency (the band has never been out of the top six at the ‘National’ this century) has been the key to this fifth year of world domination, and the bad news for its competitors is that it looks certain to enter 2012 with a considerable head start on the rest of the field.

Brighouse and Rastrick move up to third place following its second successive National title, while the fourth place achieved by Beaumaris sees that Welsh band move up to an all-time high of 13th position.
