New signings for Austrian champions

Brass Band Oberosterreich has announced a number of new signings.

One of Europe’s top bands has announced a number of new signings ahead as they start their preparations for forthcoming events and the new contesting season.

Signings

Brass Band Oberosterreich has announced that Florian Brunmayr, a student at Anton Bruckner University Linz has become their new flugel horn, with Thomas Beiganz moving to play solo horn in a section that is now completed by the arrival of Hubert Sporrer and Stefan Unterberger.

Meamnwhile, Prof. Friedrich Loimayr, the former solo trombonist of the Brucknerorchester in Linz has joined the band on second baritone with Markus Nimmervoll, a student at Anton Bruckner University Linz coming in on Bb tuba.

We are also looking forward to 2012 and to our appearance at the European Brass Band Championships in RotterdamThomas Beiganz

Thomas Beiganz told 4BR: "We are very excited about the next few months. We are currently preparing for our appearance at the Gala Concert at the Swedish Brass Band Festival in Värnamo in November as well as starting work on our latest CD recording."

He added: "We are also looking forward to 2012 and to our appearance at the European Brass Band Championships in Rotterdam."
