Votes required for bankers handout

10 bands are in the hunt for a cash payout from the bankers! All you have to do is help them with a vote or three...

 

4BR has been informed that 10 brass bands have been nominated for a Nat West Community Force award:

10 bands

Amington Brass, Deeside Silver, Enderby Youth, Frome Town Youth, Gloucester Excelsior Training, Macclesfield Youth, Ouston, Pelton District Community Brass, Stannary Brass, Towcester Studio and York RI Golden Rail Band couold be in line for £6,000 if they gain enough votes.

£6000 is a huge amount of money for any charity and our volunteers could use it wisely to teach even more youngsters to play an instrument Louise Renshaw

Awards

There are 393, £6,000 awards being made so as Louise Renshaw from Macclesfield Youth Band told 4BR:

"We've had over 260 votes so far and are currently in the top three projects in Cheshire. But with just 5 days to go, the voting is going bananas and we really need more votes to keep us in with a chance of winning one of the three cash prizes."

Huge amount

She added: "£6000 is a huge amount of money for any charity and our volunteers could use it wisely to teach even more youngsters to play an instrument and enjoy being able to join a band. It's so close and every single vote is important."
