Portishead Town has announced the appointment of two new players on opposite sides of the band.

Ashley Keyte comes in on soprano and John Lear on bass trombone, ahead of a busy concert and contest schedule over the next few months.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "We feel both of these key local players will strengthen the band tremendously in readiness for both the Yeovil and the Area contests next year."
