4BR has been informed of the resignation form Daventry Brass of MD Nigel Howard.

Difficult decision

Nigel told 4BR: "Due to operational differences, I have taken the difficult decision to resign as Musical Director of Daventry Brass. It is particularly sad at this time as the band has had the most successful 18 months in its history, culminating in an win at the Midlands Area in March and an excellent performance at the National Finals in Cheltenham in September."

Wish well

Nigel added: "I would like to wish the band continued success, including the realisation of my plan to see them promoted to the Second Section next year, and I thank all the players for their hard work and support over the past six years."
