The one and only returns...

Big hair and brilliant memories as Chesney Hawkes is set to make Ireland debut...

Ireland Colliery

Ireland Colliery Chesterfield Band will be holding its 4th ‘Brass ‘n’ Sax’ event on Saturday 22nd October at the Winding Wheel Chesterfield, featuring none other than the legend that is Chesney Hawkes!!

Memory

The event is in memory of Adrian Sudbury, brother of solo trombone player Carrie Knapton, who sadly lost his battle against Leukaemia three years ago.

Inspiring

After a quite inspiring fight against the illness, which included a media campaign that brought the story and his condition into the spotlight and helped countless others, his crusade brought him personal phone calls from the Prime Minister and a mention during Prime Minister's Questions as well as interviews on Five News, Radio 5 and Al Jazeera.

This year’s concert will feature Ireland Colliery Chesterfield Band, The South Side Jazz band and the ‘One and Only’ Chesney Hawkes, who has been a follower of the concerts for the last few years and is a family friend of the Sudbury’s.

All proceeds from the concert will be shared between the Ashgate Hospice, Anthony Nolan Trust and Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research4BR

Proceeds

All proceeds from the concert will be shared between the Ashgate Hospice, Anthony Nolan Trust and Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
