Thoresby Colliery Band has announced the appointment of its new Musical Director, David Purkiss.

Experienced

The highly experienced musician has been working with the band since the summer and has already conducted at high profile engagements including the band's televised appearance providing music at the US Embassy in London during the memorial service for the 9/11 victims.

Closer to home David has been preparing the band on 'Breath Of Souls' for their forthcoming National Finals appearance and has also taken the band at one of their regular concerts in Edwinstowe.
