The East Anglian Brass Band Association recently held its annual Brass Training Day at St Andrew’s Hall, Norwich.

Advice and expertise

74 delegates from the age of 11 upwards enrolled on the course to benefit from the advice and expertise of course leader Shaun Crowther and sectional leaders James Fountain, Andrew Bannister, Gary Oglesby, Michael Dodd, and Garrath Beckwith.

The music studied included ‘Washington Grays’, ‘Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace’, ‘Brazil’, ‘Mars’ from ‘The Planets’ and the cornet solo ‘Rusalka’s Song to the Moon’, where the delegates accompanied Grimethorpe’s principal cornet player James Fountain.
