4BR has been informed of the death of the popular compere and North West bandsman Bob Kerwick.
He died in Whiston Hospital, Prescot on Merseyside on the morning Tuesday 27th September following a short illness.

Known throughout the brass band movement for many years as an informative, highly professional compere at major events including the British Open, Grand Shield, English National, British Open Solo & Quartet Championships and numerous other major and local contesting and concert events, he will be sorely missed by all those who knew and worked with him.

The music will be provided by the members of the Parr St Helens Band, who dedicated their contest performance at the recent Fleetwood Contest to Bob's memory.
