Death of Bob Kerwick

The death has been announced of the popular contest compere Bob Kerwick.

Bob Kerwick

4BR has been informed of the death of the popular compere and North West bandsman Bob Kerwick.

He died in Whiston Hospital, Prescot on Merseyside on the morning Tuesday 27th September following a short illness.

Professional

Known throughout the brass band movement for many years as an informative, highly professional compere at major events including the British Open, Grand Shield, English National, British Open Solo & Quartet Championships and numerous other major and local contesting and concert events, he will be sorely missed by all those who knew and worked with him.

One of the movement's friendliest faces, he spoke many times with 4BR about his compere role...
