Three fine bands produced some top class entertainment at the Dronfield Leisure Centre on the weekend.
Winners
In the end it was Stannington Brass, conducted by Miles Davison who picked up the 53rd NEDDC entertainment title and with it the first prize of £400.
Their programme started with ‘Fest Musik der Stadt Wein’ and was followed by music from the film ‘Titanic’ and the prize winning solo contribution of principal cornet Richard Dowling on ‘Feeling Good’.
’Quanta Quilia’ and the finale of ‘Sing, Sing, Sing’ gave the band the title ahead of rivals Matlock, who took home £300, with Shirland Miners Welfare in third who won £150.
