Successful weekend
A spokesperson told 4BR: "Everything went well, and we were all pleased with the overall performance. We were able to enjoy Drachten in the sunshine as well as to listen to the performances of tome top-class brass bands in the remaining contest.

In fact Cologne finished just 1 point outside a podium with their 30 minute programme led by guest conductor Luc Vertommen, that saw them perform the set work, ‘Salute to a Hero’, ‘Penlee’, the cornet solo, ‘Motherless Child’ and the concert march, ‘Celebration’.
