The Eagley Band has announced their return to their home town, following the news that the Mecure Last Drop Hotel has given the band the opportunity to return to their roots and rehearse at the hotel.
Association
Formed in 1850, initially as the Eagley Sunday School Band, the band rehearsed in Eagley until the closure of Eagley Mills in 1971, bringing to an end a 120 year association.
Recently, the band has been rehearsing in and around Bolton, but the news now means that all the members can now look forward to returning to Eagley where they hope to once again be a strong part of the Eagley community.
Successes
A spokesperson told 4BR: "We hope the move will help build on the successes we have enjoyed over the last year where we gained a number of podium finishes."
