The Fairey (Geneva) Band has announced that baritone star, Katrina Marzella, has joined the band ahead of the coming contesting season.
Excited
Katrina told 4BR: "I’m excited to be joining Fairey, and to be playing in a band again after my extended break. I have been working towards my Legal Practice Course qualification at the College of Law and now it’s complete I can return to top level banding."
Katrina continued: "I’m forward to playing for Fairey's at the Open. They are an ambitious and hard-working group of players, whilst it’s always nice to play under Russell Gray and the band's resident, Mark Peacock."

Replacements
Katrina replaces Jeff Lewis, who has relinquished his position due to the excessive travelling from his workplace on the other side of the Pennines.
The same reason has also meant that Mike Norton (BBb bass), who has been doing the 100 mile round trip from Leeds for the past 6 months or so also ends his tenure with the band.
The talented youngster, Christopher Hardy, a member of the NYBB and former member of Wingates, has filled Mike’s position whilst RNCM student Yasuari Fukuhara joins the percussion section.
Boost
A band spokesperson added: "We wish Jeff and Mike every success in their future endeavours and thank them for their contribution to the bands recent return to form.
These player signings and the impending completion of the new bandroom give us a huge boost going into the forthcoming contests."
