This Saturday a dream will come true for Tony Blain, co-ordinator of the City of Chester Training Band, when the band performs in Hyde Park in London.
Dream come true
Tony originally contacted the Royal Parks nearly a year ago and asked whether the Training Band could perform in London to mark the tenth anniversary of their formation.
On Saturday afternoon they will play on the famous bandstand in Hyde Park, under the baton of Steve Cutler.
Barracks
The visit to London will also see Training Band members visiting Wellington Barracks as guests of the Band of the Scots Guards and later visiting Buckingham Palace to watch the Scots Guards perform the Ceremony of Changing of the Guard, as well as taking in a West End show.
