Perthshire Brass will shortly leave for a 14 day tour of Europe, which will feature concerts in no fewer than five different countries.
Five countries
The 50 strong party led by conductor George D Annan will contain many first time brass band travellers, and will journey from Scotland to Holland for their first concert in Ljmuiden with Felison Brass.
From there its short trip to Allenbach, near Trier in the western part of Germany, then onto Luxembourg and France before they round off what they hope will be a memorable trip with a concert in a local music festival in the town of Malmedy in Belgium.
Twin town
Part of the tour will be spent in Perth’s twin town of Aschaffenburg in Bavaria, where the band will renew musical friendships with MV Melomania, a traditional German band, who will join forces together for an evening concert.

Thank you
Band spokesperson Brian Roper told 4BR: "A huge thank you is due, not only to the players who have undertaken a tremendous fundraising effort, but to friends of the Band from local government and charitable organisations for encouragement and assistance."
