Bilton Silver (Rugby) Band has announced the appointment of appointment of Mark Allen as Musical Director.

Success

In his previous role as Bandmaster, Mark has facilitated significant successes for the band over the last 12 months. Mark adds these conducting duties to his position as MD with the Rugby-based Scirocco Wind Ensemble.

New members

A number of new members have joined the band in the past few months, including, Richard Ham (tutti solo cornet), Charlie Allen (3rd Cornet), Mary Goodland (Solo Baritone), Simon Titcomb (2nd Trombone), Paul Johnson (Eb Bass), Craig Bangham (Eb Bass), Craig Palmer (Eb Bass), and most recently Nathan Fernando on percussion from Bilton Silver’s successful Training Band.

Congratulations

The band also congratulated 16-year-old trombonist Emma Haggett for her recent achievement to study at Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester.
