After their recent success at the Ebbw Vale Contest in May, Craig Roberts has accepted Abergavenny Borough Band’s invitation to take up the post of Musical Director.

New ethic

Band Chairman, Andrew Richards told 4BR: "Craig has brought a new work ethic to the band and the players have responded to the challenge by lifting their level of performance. All the players are enjoying Craig's vibrant style and we look forward to a long and rewarding partnership."

New resident

Also appointed to the position of Resident Conductor is the Band's respected junior band tutor, Lana Tingay.

Andrew added: "Lana can draw on many years experience conducting senior bands and is held in high regard by all members of the band.
