The Freckleton Band has announced two additions to their cornet section.

Return

Mike Pritt returns as principal cornet, for his third stint in the hot seat.

Mike has previously played with Leyland, Faireys and Newham, as well as time in New Zealand, where he was crowned National Cornet Champion.

We are delighted to welcome him back, whilst thanking Sian Carradus for stepping up to the challenge for the Grand ShieldAndy Cattanach

Delighted

Chairman, Andy Cattanach told 4BR: "We are delighted to welcome him back, whilst thanking Sian Carradus for stepping up to the challenge for the Grand Shield. Sian will now play assistant principal."

Potential

Meanwhile, Robert Richardson comes in on front row cornet, from Lostock Hall.

Andy added: "Robert has tremendous potential as a relatively young player. We hope to develop this potential in the time he's with the band."

Both will make their first concert appearance with the band at their annual charity concert later this month.
