Foden's stars put Coleshill to work

Star players from Foden's Band have put the players of Coleshill Band through their workshop places.

Coleshill

Players of Coleshill Town Band recently participated in a workshop with some of the star players of Foden’s Band.

Workshops

The day comprised sectional workshops at Repton School in Derbyshire with Mark Wilkinson, Lesley Howie, Natsumi McDonald, Shaun Farrington, Stewart Baglin and Mark Landon.

The day formed part of the development plan of the band as well as giving them chance to rehearse music for the forthcoming Whit Friday contests and Wychavon Festival of Brass later in the year.

The day was an inspiration to all, with many players commenting on the way the tutors put them at ease. We all left in a buoyant mood!Coleshill Band

Put in place

Following the sectional workshops, the main band came together under the baton of Mark Wilkinson to put all their learning into place.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "The day was an inspiration to all, with many players commenting on the way the tutors put them at ease. We all left in a buoyant mood!"
