4BR has been informed that the organisers of the Dr Martin Contest for the Wainstones Trophy are now looking for entrants for the 20011 event.

Bands wishing to be considered can obtain entry forms by emailing Steve Goodwin at s.goodwin.55@hotmail.co.uk.

There is no online interactive entry form this year.

Ambitious

Chair of Trustees, Steve Goodwin, told 4BR: "When we look at the rankings we often find First Section bands occupying higher places than some Championship bands.

We want to attract those ambitious First Section bands who believe they are good enough to fight off some Championship outfits — and gain a share of a very generous prize pot."

The contest has the capacity to host no more than 15 bands on the day.
