Boobs set for new release

John Lee and the wonderful girls of Boobs & Brass are going to be showing off their wares again this year.

Boobs and Brass

After the outstanding success of John Lee’s solo album ‘Whatever It Takes’ last year in helping to raise funds for Brest Cancer Research with the Boobs & Brass Band, John has enlisted some backup for the second CD to be recorded in October.

Even more

John told 4BR that the first CD raised over £15,000 for Breast Cancer campaigns selling all over the world, and that this time he wants to try and raise even more money to a cause that is close to his heart.

We have enlisted the help of some great soloists to help give the next recording a much wider appealJohn Lee

New help

"We have enlisted the help of some great soloists to help give the next recording a much wider appeal," he said. "It will also give the girls more room to shine with around 2/3rds of the CD being devoted music of their choice."

Having sold around 1500 CDs last time round, John would love to hit the 2000 mark and possibly more to raise another £20,000 or £30,000 for the cause, which this year is a project being run by Sheffield University.

Best around

He added: "The recording will once again be done by Keith Farrington at Music House Productions, whose generosity knows no bounds and he does a fantastic job. He’s best in the business."

The soloists to be featured on the recording are Carol Jarvis, John Lee, Mark Walters, Michelle Ibbotson and Alison Bonnar.
