The Leyland Band has announced the singing of four players ahead of their assault on the English Nationals in Preston next month.
Return
Dave Royle returns to the band after a 20 year absence. Dave played under Richard Evans at Wingates when they won the British Open in 1975 as well as enjoying an extended period on the solo cornet bench with Leyland for a number of years.
Front row
In addition, Anna Hughes-Williams has agreed to play for the band on the front row. Anna vast top section experience includes spells with YBS, Fodens and Blackburn & Darwen.
Lord return
Meanwhile, Andy Lord returns to the band after a two year sabbatical. Andy played principal cornet with Leyland when they won the 2005 National Finals.
Bass trom
Finally, Steve Lomas come in on bass trombone. Steve who lives in Derby, commutes some 200 miles to and from rehearsals and joins after spells with Desford and BTM.

The spokesperson added: "Leyland would like to place on record the outstanding playing of Matt Denney, a first year student from the RNCM who has been helping out over the last month or so.
Matt is sure to make a big name for himself in the future both in the orchestral and brass band world and is a real talent."
Getting stronger
Meanwhile, MD Richard Evans told 4BR: "I’m very excited about our new signings. The band is getting stronger every day. With the recent return of Bill Millar, we are in very good shape for the English National."
