Reg Vardy delight at Open return

The band and their sponsor are delighted that North of England Champions are back at the British Open.

The Reg Vardy Band is still in celebration mood after winning the Grand Shield and regaining their place back at the British Open at the Spring Festival in Blackpool on the weekend.

Outstanding

The victory on 'Titan’s Progress' came courtesy of a thrilling ensemble performance that included outstanding contributions from cornet soloist Tina Mortimer and Liz Pope on euphonium.

Team performance

Band spokesperson Laura Jackson told 4BR: "We knew when we came off stage that we couldn't have done any more. We have been working really hard with Nick since the area and the win is a testament to that effort. It was a true team performance and we are so glad that we will be heading back to Birmingham in September."

This is great news. Congratulations to everyone involved in the performance. I am very proud of you all yet againBand Sponsor, Sir Peter Vardy
