Leeds huge bandstand series

The parks and bandstands in Leeds will resonate to the sound of music this Summer.

From now until the end of September, the bandstands of Leeds will resound to the music of local brass, jazz and concert bands with Leeds International Concert Season’s Summer Bands in Leeds Parks series.

Most concerts are on Sundays from 2.30pm to 4.30pm and are absolutely free.

The 2011 series includes 95 concerts with over 45 bands performing.

21 parks

The 21 parks involved include Canal Gardens — Roundhay, Dartmouth — Morley, East End Park, Golden Acre, Middleton, New Farnley Recreation Ground, Pudsey, Wetherby and the new addition this season is Wharfemeadows Park in Otley.
