Lanner & District Silver Band recently held its AGM where Musical Director Stuart Chappell reported on a very successful year.

Band President Leon Youlton congratulated those involved in the setting up of the burgeoning Academy branch of the band which has grown from scratch over the last 15 months, to 26 playing members.

Life membership

The Band has recently recorded a new CD, whilst the meeting was delighted to award a Life Membership to bass player Shaun Jenkin for 25 years unbroken service and in recognition of all the behind the scenes work he continues to do for the benefit of the organisation.
