EBBA elections round off Montreux event

Delegate elections and increased sponsorship news rounds off successful Montreux event.

The European Brass Band Association met for its Annual Geneal Meeting on the Sunday morning following the competitios at the Stravinski Auditrroium in Montreux.

Elections

Incumbant President Ulf Rosenberg of Norway was elected for a further four year term, whilst Kurt W. Bohlhalter of Switzerland was elected as Vice President.

General Secretary, Berit Handegard, Treasurer, Raf Anseeuw, and Auditor, Nigel Morgan was also re-elected, with Maurice Hamers elected to the EBBA Music Commission.

Rotterdam

After a presentation by the Netherlands organising committee, further details were released of the next European Brass Band Championships, which will take place at the refurbished De Doelen Auditorium in Rotterdam.

It was also revealed that for the first time in the contest's history each of the competing bands from EBBA affiliated countries received 1,000 Euros for taking part4BR
