Fresh from his appearance with the Kew Band at the Australian National Championships, Black Dyke’s star trombonist Brett Baker has told 4BR that he is delighted that his great friend Mark Ford has finally directed his band to a National title.
Friendship
Brett told 4BR: "My relationship with Mark Ford the conductor and Kew Band goes back to 1999 and I have remained a close friend of them both ever since.
It was a very emotional moment when I realised after five years of hard work the band achieved its objective of becoming National Champions."
