4BR April Quiz winner

The winner of the latest 4BR Quiz looks set to enjoy a great prize.

4BR

Gareth Green, MD of the Egham Band in Surrey is the latest 4BR Quiz winner.

We had a great response to the opportunity of winning some great music courtesy of our friends at Prima Vista Musikk.

Looking forward

And Gareth is looking forward to putting his players through their paces on the pieces after getting the answer right to the question of who is the Welsh Goddess of Love described in Cai Isfryn’s composition ‘Vengeance’?

The answer was of course, Branwen.

Shock

"It was a bit of a shock to win," Gareth told 4BR, "but I’m delighted I took the time enter, because the pieces will certainly be put to good use!"

Gareth is the MD of the First Section Egahm Band in the London & Southern Counties Area, and told 4BR that he is always on the look out for new music to play at concerts.

"These pieces really fit the bill for a band such as ours, with plenty to work on for all the sections and some testing solos too. It’s a great prize – so thanks again!"

I’m delighted I took the time enter, because the pieces will certainly be put to good use!Gareth Green

Concert appearances

So look out for at the next Egham concert for Dr Robert Childs’s rousing arrangement of ‘Ruslan & Ludmilla’, Gareth Wood’s brilliant four movement suite, ‘Brass Triumphant’, the cracking ‘Vengeance’ by Cai Isfryn and the quirky ‘A Slow Ride in a Static Machine’ by Phil Lawrence.

The next 4BR quiz will be published in the next week or so.
