Results: 66th Dalmellington Slow Melody

There was a great turn out of players at the recent Dalmellington Slow Melody event — and plenty of prizes on offer too.

Dalmellington Band recently celebrated the 66th year of the Cecil Oughton Slow Melody tradition with two events in Dalmellington Community Centre.

Their Junior event attracted 21 young soloists competing in two sections, Intermediate and Advanced.

Intermediate Section:

Tintwistle Band

June 9 • Tintwistle Band are looking for a 2nd horn player to help complete the team. . We rehearse Monday and Thursday 8-10pm under the baton of our MD Jim Henson, at our own bandroom on Old Road in Tintwistle, and perform a variety of concerts all year round.
