The brass bands of Marple have secured a 99-year lease at a peppercorn rent on the local Park Keeper’s Cottage in Marple Memorial Park to help secure a prosperous banding future in the remarkable village.

Planning permission

Planning permission to renovate and extend the building has been granted, whilst an open day recently raised around £370 to help turn it into a headquarters and rehearsal room for local bands.
