The Tameside Music Festival supported by Tameside Council will take place for the fifth time next month with Black Dyke and Foden's billed as the star attractions.
Hyde and Ashton
On Saturday 7th May at Hyde Town Hall, Black Dyke will perform, whilst eight days later on Sunday 14th, Foden's will be appear at the Albion United Reform Church in Ashton-under-Lyne with organist, Jonathon Scott.
Jonathan will be playing the mammoth Lewis organ which was completed in 1895 and rebuilt in 1953 — a leviathan of 47 speaking stops, 2,200 pipes, 853 magnets, 3,000 electrical contacts and four miles of wiring!

Musical experiences
Cllr John Sullivan, Tameside Council’s assistant executive member for music, culture and performing arts, told 4BR: "The concert series aims to provide our citizens with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the very best of musical experiences. I am proud to be able to introduce Black Dyke and Foden’s."
