Following the highly successful Solo & Quartet Contest last year, the 6th Solo, Quartet & Ensemble Contest organised by Gwent Music Support Service will take place on Saturday 4th June at the YMCA, Mendalgief Road, Newport.
Looking forward
The Solo & Quartet Contest will be open to bands from outside of the Gwent Youth Band structure and the organisers look forward to receiving applications from these bands.
There will again be an Ensemble class, and this will be available to a maximum of 12 players including percussion.
Childs & Holland
The adjudicators for the day will be Joanne Childs and Paul Holland.
