Penicuik Silver Band recently lent a helping musical hand to the Royal Highland Fusiliers, with a fundraising concert in aid of the White Hackle Fund.

The White Hackle Fund was set up to support soldiers from the 2nd Battalion of The Royal Regiment of Scotland, who have been injured in the line of duty in Afghanistan.

Great evening

The Band, directed by Stuart Black, performed along with guest artists, the Lothian & Borders Police Choir, who are currently preparing to go to the United states to represent Scotland at the 10 year commemoration of the 9/11 tragedy.

In what turned out to be a great evening of entertainment, £450 was raised for the Fund.
