System success

Musical Director Cheryl Slamon told 4BR: "I’m delighted with the way the band played especially as this year, in particular, we have a very young band. It is testament to the success of the organisation that we have so many young players coming through our system and we are able to maintain the standard."

Volunteers

Macclesfield Youth Brass Band has over 120 members in three sections, the Youth band, Junior band and Training band.

Players are taught by volunteer tutors at the band’s weekly rehearsals and most play on instruments provided by the band.
