Marshall heads to Sandbach

Richard Marshall set to make the journey to Sandbach...

Marshall

Black Dyke’s principal cornet player Richard Marshall will be making the move to Foden’s country this Wednesday – although thankfully for ‘Pondashers’ all over the world, it will only be a fleeting musical visit.

Concert series

Richard will appear as part of the Sandbach Concert Series which is growing in popularity under the guidance of Artistic Director, composer Andy Scott.

Reputation

The SCS recital series has quickly established a reputation of providing world class musicians for local audiences, as well as giving young musicians an opportunity to perform in an evening that ranges in artistic scope, with a complimenting art exhibition also displayed.

This is our fifth concert out of eight in season one and we are absolutely delighted to welcome Richard to Sandbach – although it’s only a flying recital visitAndy Scott

Flying visit

Andy Scott told 4BR: "This is our fifth concert out of eight in season one and we are absolutely delighted to welcome Richard to Sandbach – although it’s only a flying recital visit!"

Buzz

He added: "There is a buzz around the town in anticipation of Wednesday’s concert, and I have been inundated with young brass players wishing to perform a piece in front of Richard in our 'Spotlight' concert."
