The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain, Easter Course will take place at Harrogate Ladies’ College from Saturday 16th April to Saturday 23rd April.
The course and concerts will be dedicated to the memory of Maurice Murphy and James Watson.
Soloist
Bramwell Tovey, the band’s Artistic Director will conduct, whilst the featured guest soloist is the London Symphony Orchestra Principal Trumpet, Philip Cobb.
During the course, the band will be preparing for two concerts in Manchester and Darlington.

Delighted
Philip Biggs, the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain’s Administrator told 4BR: "We are delighted to be returning to Harrogate for the 2011 Easter course. We have been returning to the town for week long training courses for some four decades now and the members have never grown tired of the venue and location."
Tutors
The tutors this year will include Richard Marshall, David Daws, Helen Williams, Martin Armstrong, Dr. Robert Childs and Nick Etheridge.
Concerts
The concerts this year are at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester on Friday 22nd April and on Saturday 23rd April at The Dolphin Centre in Darlington.
