Glyn Williams Musical Instruments has joined with the hundreds of other well wishers to extend their warm congratulations to the new BBC Radio 2 Young Brass Soloist Lewis Musson.

Lewis has been playing on a Sterling Virtuoso Euphonium for over 12 months now and told 4BR: "The Sterling has helped me to improve my sound, both riding over the band sound when playing with Wingates, and as a solo instrumentalist."

North West battle

Meanwhile, at the recent North West Area Contest in Blackpool, several Sterling Virtuoso euphoniums were heard in battle!

Notable success were achieved not just by Lewis with Wingates (4th), but also with Nick Birch with Pemberton Old (3rd) and Mark Bousie & Glyn Williams who teamed up to lead Foden's to their sixth success in a row.

Yorkshire & Midlands

Sterling euphonium players were also featured in the prizes at the Yorkshire Area in Bradford, with Mike Howley helping Hepworth into 2nd place, whilst in the Midlands, Mark Giles and his Sterling helped Virtuosi GUS Band to their second consecutive Area Contest.
