Euphonium virtuoso Charley Brighton starts his 10th season of Euphonium Recitals at St. Mary’s Slough on the 26th February with a special guest — euphonium star Jonathan Sproule, from the Band of The Royal Logistics Corps.
Unearthed
Charley has unearthed a long forgotten duet by Denzil Stephens, ‘Euphony’ and will also premiere two of his own transcriptions, ‘Hill Song’ (originally for oboe) by Micheal Head and ‘Concerto Pour La Fin D’un Amour’ (originally for piano) by Francais Lai.
James Paget will be the accompanist.
Free
As usual the recital is free and vintage euphoniums will be in use and on display, followed by refreshments afterwards.
